Up a Mountain Road

As the sun neared the horizon, we made our way up the winding road. It was late afternoon and the trailhead we arrived at only had a few cars parked in it. We gathered our gear together as we waited for Gavin and Amanda to arrive. With two digital cameras, one 35 mm film camera, and one super-8 film camera we were ready to document this beautiful Colorado elopement.

A Colorado Lake

The location was stunning. It was mid-August and the forest was still lush and green. The birds chirped and the squirrels chattered as we made our way down the trail. We came to a divide in the trail where Gavin and Amanda quickly changed into their wedding attire. We were close to the lake now and had a great view of the surrounding mountains. As we took photos we could not help but notice the trout rising in the lake. The sun was low and glowing gently which made the trout hungry for dinner.

The Perfect Colorado Elopement

This Colorado elopement was a fun and stress-free adventure in one of the most beautiful locations. Gavin and Amanda are some of the coolest people and were such a joy to be around. We laughed and told funny stories from past adventures as we made our way around the lake. Colorado is such an awesome state and has endless opportunities for great elopement locations.
